Compliance Endpoint (Windows Information Protection - WIP)
The Compliance endpoint is the HTTPS URL that directs users to information and remediation steps when their device is determined to be non-compliant with your organization's security policies.
If a user attempts to access a protected corporate resource from a non-compliant device, Windows Information Protection (WIP) displays a link to this compliance page. The page should explain why access was denied, identify the compliance issue(s), and provide clear instructions for resolving them.
The Compliance page should include:
An explanation of why the device is considered non-compliant.
The organization's security and compliance requirements.
Common causes of non-compliance, such as:
Outdated operating system.
Missing security updates.
Disabled BitLocker encryption.
Antivirus or Microsoft Defender not running.
Firewall disabled.
Device not enrolled in Microsoft Intune or the organization's device management platform.
Required security policies not applied.
Step-by-step self-service remediation instructions.
Links to enroll or re-enroll the device if necessary.
Contact information for the IT Help Desk or system administrator if additional assistance is required.
Expected time for compliance to be re-evaluated after remediation.
